Jackie Attends Cross-Strait Youth Exchange

On July 12th 2011 more than 5 000 youth from Taiwan and China gathered in the Great Hall of the People in Beijing to participate in a cross-strait exchange program. The program included song, dance, martial arts, magic and other colorful cultural programs. The youth were offered feast of art to express a love of Chinese culture and to praise the peaceful development of cross-strait relations. Other celebrities present were Yao Ming, Jay Chou, Sun Nan, Henan Shaolin Temple martial arts, and a disabled dance group from China.

8 of the young people had a birthday on the day and were given a special honour. While the choir sang "Happy Birthday" to them, Yao Ming gave them an autographed basket ball. Olympic table tennis champion Wang Nan gave them autographed bats. Jackie gave them rulers with film strips from 'The Myth' and 'New Police Story' embedded in them.

Jackie also sang 'Youth Are Strong'.
